Alexander and Eleni are native to Greece, and have devoted themselves to their homeland in the service of God. After studying in the United States, they returned home and began their work at Omonia Church. Athens has long been a crossroads for many nations, and Eleni has always had a heart for those who moved to or through the city. When the Syrian crisis forced thousands to flee their homes and come to Greece, Alex and Eleni used their talents and resources to begin serving those who needed their love the most.
The Melirrytoses have served at Omonia Church since its establishment in 1989. Situated in the middle of Athens, Omonia Church has always ministered to people from many nations. The crisis in the Middle East has led over 3,000 Syrian, Afghan, and Iraqi people through the doors of the church in the past three years. 57 of these people have put on Christ in baptism.
The mission of ACM is to offer comfort and support to all those who seek help. Our service is given in the name of Jesus and for the glory of God. By feeding the hungry, assisting in a time of transition and confusion, and loving the families who come to us, we proclaim God's love to the nations who are being brought to our shores.

We believe God is moving mightily in the Middle East and Ukraine, bringing out those who cannot hear his redeeming call, to a place where they can receive his love in safety. We appreciate and value your support in the past and pray that you will continue to join with us to bring relief and hope to the needy in Athens, Greece.
